Tattoos have grown in popularity over the past 10 years. The idea that tattoos are rebellious, shocking or reflect a girls moral character have dissolved. The popularity of tattoos has increased and so has their acceptance. This is due largely to an increase in celebrities happily sporting them. It is estimated that thirty six percent of those ages 18 to 25 have at least one tattoo and forty percent of people ages 26 to 40 have at least one tattoo. With that being said it is still true that more men than women have tattoos.

Tattoos for girls are typically more feminine in nature. They are generally smaller and more delicate with thinner lines and are usually isolated to one or two parts of the body. Almost like accessories or accent pieces. The most popular spot for girls to get tattoos are the lower back, left shoulder, ankle, upper breast or bikini area. The lower back is a popular spot because it is not always shown but can be flashed. The shoulder is also a sought after spot. The left shoulder is traditionally known as the feminine shoulder and a tattoo there can be a great accent when wearing tank tops or halter tops. Ankle tattoos are cute and many girls are now getting tattoos on the top of the foot or small delicate ones on their toes. They are a great accent when wearing sandals or flip-flops. Like the lower back tattoo, tattoos on the upper breast or bikini area can be hidden.

Some tattoo ideas for girls that are feminine and have a long history include: sun, flower, angel wings, fairy, star, butterfly, Celtic and Zodiac symbols, dolphin, rose, and heart. Although traditional, these tattoo ideas are always unique by meaning to the person wearing them, and most tattoo artists are happy to create a one-of-a-kind design.

Feminine Cute & Sexy Tattoos For Women

0

Every girl wants to have a great looking tattoo design that enhances their overall look. However, finding feminine and cute tattoos for women can at times be frustrating. Searching online or at your local tattoo shop for the right ankle or foot tattoo can be hard. It sometimes takes hours of searching to come up short. Here is a list of ideas to get your own thoughts flowing. It is not a complete or exhaustive list of tattoo designs for girls by any means but it at least gives you some great ideas and locations to get a tattoo design and how to make it cute, feminine and sexy all at the same time.

Possible Designs

There or course are a ton of designs out there and what you pick is a matter of person choice. What one person thinks is cute or sexy might be different then another person. So whenever choosing a tattoo design it is important to pick something for you and not for anyone else. In other words don't pick a tattoo because your friend likes or doesn't like it but pick a design that you think is feminine or sexy or whatever look you are after. These are just some popular ideas.

There are several types of tattoos that people like to get on their skin, like Sword, Skulls, and Dragons, among females flower tattoo are most popular. Almost all the women who come to our tattoo artists for a tattoo ask about floral designs, because not only they look beautiful and colorful but also illustrate the feminism.
There are many other reasons that after many years of evolution of tattooing art, floral designs remain among the top choice among the females. It can be the reason that flowers are though as the symbols of beauty and feminism in world. A psychological reason could be that flower tattoo is generally colored with diverse selection of bright colors which has always attracted the women. Another reason is the image one can perceive after seeing tattoo on their skin, in this corporate world, where you will need to meet several people and clients daily, having a tattoo like big Dragons would surely be considered an unprofessional way, where as a small flower on your upper arm will look charming.

The Hottest Tattoo Designs For Girls

0

Are you looking for something that is feminine unique and different for a great looking tattoo design for girls? In the past few years women have really come into their own in the world of tattoo design. More and more designs are being created for them and there are more female tattoo artists than ever before. Just take a show like LA Ink and Kat Von Dee and her group. You know this type of show would not have been possibly 15 years ago. So how can you find great tattoo designs for girls? Where should you look and how do you choose. All to often women will find themselves frustrated and fed up with trying to find a design. This article will help you identify some sources where you can find great tattoo designs then what to do with those designs to make them into your own unique and original tattoo.

Sources of Tattoo Designs

One of the frustrations that people often run into when trying to get a tattoo design is they come up with some idea in their head and then they search the internet or look in shops to find the exact design they have in their head. Here are some great sources to help get you started.

  • Bookstore - We all know about the local bookstore but these days many book stores are carrying more and more books on tattoos. In the not too far away past there was typically one or two books available. These days there are tons of books available and if you cannot find it at a local book store you could try Amazon. You will want to start be looking in the art section typically.
  • Library - Library is pretty much the same thing however your resources available here are often less than in a bookstore. On the upside you can borrow them for free and copy any design and ideas you like.
  • Magazines - There are at least four or five major tattoo magazine as out on the newsstand these days. In fact there are some that tailor to tattoo designs for girls even. So this is a great place to find materials and designs that you like.
  • Internet - There are three different types of sites on the internet but they can both be tremendously helpful and you will find a bit about them below.
  • Tattoo Design Sites - Tattoo design sites typically specialize in finding great designs and even employing tattoo artists to crank out design work. The better sites will typically charge a monthly fee where as the free sites typically have less art at a lesser quality of perfection. So with these sites it is best just to pay.
  • Community Sites - Community sites like Myspace and copies of these have latched on to the whole Web2.0 craze and you can find specific member built tattoo sites. These can help in find a ton of great pictures of tattoo designs that have already been done for other people. You can also ask for help from the members.
  • Search Engine - Most search engines today have a specialized search feature for images only. For example Google has a Google Image Search which will bring back only pictures of a certain type of tattoo design. These are copyrighted but you can use them still so don't worry.

How To Use What You Find

So you have been diligent and done your work and went to these sites, drove to your bookstore and went by the library and don't have much to show for it? Well, that has a lot to do with your mindset and how you are looking. This will help so read it carefully. You are probably looking for the exact tattoo design that you have in your head. Instead of just trying to find that because you probably won't ever locate it instead look for resources. These resources are just copies of designs you like or print out of pictures on scraps of paper. These can really help your tattoo artist to get a grasp on what you are after in your design. Then just let them go for it and design the tattoo. After they have done a sketch you will get a chance to approve it. If you have reservations or want something change speak now or forever hold your peace.

Finding An Artist

So that leads a person to finding a good tattoo artist. This is not really all that hard. Be open and communicate with people and you will find someone pretty quickly. It is best to visit shops in your area and see if you don't connect with one of the artists. Try to find someone you can talk with easily and express what you are looking for. Then you can start to discuss price and move forward if you are comfortable. If you get a snotty feeling form the person, they don't listen to you or you are not sure just back out. Don't ever try to negotiate on price and treat all the artist and people in the store with respect. Don't be afraid of anyone but be respectful.

Why is it that we are so comfortable with the girl behind the Starbucks counter who has a tattoo, and is wearing the Starbucks uniform yet, at the same time we may see someone on the street who has a tattoo and it makes us nervous, frightened or scared. Sometimes we profile these people, or stereotype them as an outcast of society or someone we may not want our children to talk to.

Isn't it interesting that in one setting we are perfectly comfortable with someone who has body art, and then in another setting we think ill of that person. If this is something you do, I'd like to ask that you stop doing it, perhaps even strike up a conversation.

Indeed, I think what you'll find is that people with tattoos are just like you and I, they are regular people, that is what I've learned. Over the years I've gone out of my way to talk to people who have body art and what I found is they are more down to earth, with it, and tend to have better personalities than the average person on the street.

They seem to have a sense of individuality about them, perhaps that's what emboldened them to get the tattoo in the first place. Did you know that many of your friends have tattoos, many of your coworkers, and many of your acquaintances have body art, which is hidden in a special place and you don't even know it's there.

It's amazing if you go to a company BBQ and everyone is dressed in shorts and T-shirts all the suddenly you see all the tattoos that you never knew they had. I hope you will consider this conversation and think about how you can better yourself and stop being so judgmental in your life.

Feminine Tattoo Lettering

Thanks for dropping in to check on our tattoo blog. My friend and I share some tattoo tips (he's an aspiring artist), as well as pictures, product reviews, and some cool tattoo-related gear we find around the web. But before you think this is all about dark, severe, or heavy ink, poke around a bit. We give all styles of tattoos their fair share of the limelight, and you're just as likely to see ladybug tattoos and Tinkerbell tattoos as you are to see skulls. More likely, actually!

Lest I forget some of the more delicate fonts, here is a great tattoo lettering style for poems, song lyrics, scripted works, or even quotes. This would be a great style to work into a larger floral or nature piece as well.

Tattoo Inking - A Painful But Pleasurable Experience

0

Some people associate the process of having a tattoo to a painful and gory experience. It is true that being finely pricked by a needle would result in some discomfort but people have varied sensations about the procedure. Since the body is made up of thick and thin layers of skin, it is unavoidable that some parts may be more delicate than others. Thus when a tattoo is marked, some procedure may be painful compared to others as well. For those who know the pain factor of having a tattoo, the motivation they get for pursuing to have tattoos is the eagerness to see the art and its effect after.

Pondering further about certain body parts and the level of pain it can endure, it is best that you figure out the place where you intend to have your tattoo. They say that the belly, inner thighs, neck or nape, face, and armpits are tender areas. It is therefore expected that when you have tattoos in these parts, it surely would be a painful experience. This is somehow in contrast to those marked on the arms, back, legs, and other spots where the skin is thicker. The whole tattoo ordeal would cause some throbbing and tingly sensation but most people bear the ache and soreness because they consider the experience as pleasurable and rewarding when they see the final effect. All the more surprising are those people with tattoos that practically covered their entire bodies. Sometimes we wonder how much pain they went through just to have those tattoos.

It is important that prior to having this indelible mark in your body, you should be mentally and emotionally ready for it. The way to tolerate any painful feeling is to have that positive state of mind and make the most out of the situation; meaning, try to make the experience enjoyable as possible. Some people would talk to the tattoo artists; others have friends with them to chat with just to be distracted from feeling the pain. Another aspect that is vital is to fully decide on the design, size, and details of your tattoo so that it will be more fulfilling to know that you picked the right one and all forms of pain of having it will be worth it.

Tattoo Inks - The Importance and the Composition of Tattoo Inks

0

In short, you can never know the right composition of the tattoo inks because manufacturers are not allowed to reveal its contents. Only the professional who mixes the ink from the dry pigments are said to know of its composition. So, it is obvious that you will not be getting any right answers to this question.

Tattoo inks are actually not inks but are made up of different pigments that are floating on the solution of the carrier. Most people believe that pigments are from vegetable dyes but they are not. Nowadays the new pigments contain metal salts and some are also plastic and few vegetable dyes too. The color of the tattoo is mainly provided by the pigment. The main use of the carrier solution is to disinfect the suspension of the pigment by keeping it evenly mixed and thus making the application of the tattoo very simple and easy.

What is the toxicity in tattoo inks?

The toxicity in the inks has some health risks associated along with it. These health risks are due to the unhygienic practices and toxicity inherited from some of the substances. There are lot of sites on the web that explains the risk involved and also information of taking care of the tattoo. For your reminder always check the Material Safety Data Sheet for any carrier or pigment. But you got to know one thing the MSDS, will not be able to finalize on the risks that is associated with the chemical reaction that happens on the skin when applied or within the ink itself. For your information tattoo inks and pigments are not regulated or checked by the administration of food and drugs department of the United States.

UV Backlight Ink: This is one way of getting a tattoo done. This is an ink that reacts only to black light. This is popular way of tricking your friends. One of the Ultra violet backlight inks is the Chameleon black light tattoo ink. This UV Backlight Ink is come out after the intensive checking done by the FDA department. This has no adverse effect associated with it; over the last 10 years. This ink is the safest ink in the market that can be used by all without any fears in mind.

You've seen plenty of tattoos in your lifetime and probably have even considered getting one at some point or another throughout the years. Considering that a tattoo is mostly permanent, it is something that should truly reflect yourself, your thoughts, your feelings and your sentiments. For this reason, choosing the right tattoo can be tricky.

With the help of Tattoos Unlimited, you will be able to choose a tattoo design that suits your needs and is cosmetically compatible with your looks. People have different personalities and the diversity of people demands the availability of different types and styles of tattoos to suitably fit in a person's simple or more ornate taste. Choosing the right tattoo types and style is fun to do, especially when this is your first ink job. You may get hooked to the assortment of designs and constantly visit the tattoo parlors in your city. You may even spend a lot of time on the web to choose the best tattoo to perfectly fit you.

The types and styles of tattoos that will be inked on you are primarily based on your preferences; it is your skin after all. If you want to go for tattoo designs that are tribal in style and are mostly derived from archaic tattoo art, then you probably are into abstractions. When you see yourself undergoing the needle for a design that entails shading, detailing, and perspective to reflect an image that looks very realistic, you fall in the category of naturalistic tattoos.

Dedication designs, on the other hand, are linked to the traditional tattooing of the Western civilizations. If you love tattoos that are drawn as heart and name banners, badge of a military contingent or the anchor and a ship name, you must be enticed with pledge or dedication tattoo styles.

Another type or style of tattoos is the simple or the stylized tattoos. These kinds of designs range from a simple cartoon figures, flash from a wall of the tattoo parlor, up to flowers and even animals. You may also want to consider tattooing your body with conventional Japanese styles or a combination of images that are not straightforwardly connected with one another.

You can gear up your skin through various types and styles of tattoos. You can always use the work of other artists, though you don't have to get it tattooed on your body. All you have to do is bring the source picture of the tattoo style you love to your artist and tell him or her that you like that style and would like your design to resemble the reference. Since tattoo artists are mostly visual people, they are extremely talented at turning a basic idea into a complete and customized tattoo style.

Now, these tattoos are mostly engraved on the arms, backs, legs, and chests. In some aspects, the way that people revive the Maori tattoo is because of the appreciation of the beauty of the designs. Also, tattoo lovers are showing some form of respect to the Maori culture because of its unique and creative fashion on how to revere beauty, courage, and worthiness as a person. The advantage of enlivening the Ta Moko is also to express that some cultures of the past must not be forgotten and must not die down.

It seems like every tattoo art gallery on the web has the same basic, generic stuff. If this is your thought process, you need to know that this isn't the case. If you're running into hoards of galleries that have nothing besides cookie cutter design choices, listen up, because I know the speedy way to correct this, while getting the every tattoo art gallery that has unbelievable artwork to choose from.

There are a whole lot pf people in this world that don't even know what quality artwork looks like. They've been seeing so much generic junk that this is what they think tattoos should look like. Many of them make the mistake of picking one of those cookie cutter tattoos and then run to get them inked, which is not a bright idea. Just so you know, a huge majority of people who get tattooed with a generic design will end up hating the piece that put on their body. Enough about that, though. Let me tell you how "not" to search for a tattoo art gallery.

It's as simple as avoiding search engines. Plain and simple, you need to keep away from them when hunting for galleries. They are always leaving out the amazing artwork collections. Instead of getting a nice list of galleries that put fresh, original, high quality designs on their servers, you get the total opposite type of tattoo art gallery. It's just a bunch of random places that stuff their site with every generic design they can get their hands on. It's a real shame, but this isn't going to hinder your hunt for sensational tattoos. You can still find tons of the better galleries.

How will you do it, you ask? It's pretty darn simple. You find them by taking a dip in any bigger type of forum. The larger, the better. They are such underrated tools, yet they are the one place that will provide you with names and links to every superb tattoo art gallery that you need to know about. All of this info can be yanked out of the archive section, which is where 100's of topics about tattoos can be picked though. These topics are laced with this pin point info, because artwork lovers from all over the globe have been in here chatting about the subject. You get to see exactly where other folks are locating amazing collections of tattoos.
