I think that nowadays the most widespread disease is lack of identity and the consequent search for meaning and itself. Partly because it is actually no solid signs and signals the social environment message to us: This is you. Now you are grown up. You are a man. You are a woman.
Sometimes they did not have these problems. In many traditional societies today are familiar with such as rites of initiation. Watershed, where the girl 'official' (read: socially recognized) to become a woman. The boy becomes a man, a warrior, an adult. The child becomes a member of community.
Such turning points today, and although we believe that them we do not need and that we live in modern society, this archetypal and deeply rooted in the particularities of a man much impact on our lives and thinking, although this fact may not be aware, all this leads to a loss of cohesion with itself, with native nature and the nature around us, and with our real identity.
No, not that I got too ... Here's; the first tattoo is like a loss of innocence, there is no turning back. I say 'first', as often happens, that a man thing 'pulls' and addictive, and the first tattoo followed by the second, third, fourth, etc...
